ARA 290 is a peptide derived from the structure of erythropoietin, a protein that stimulates red blood cell production. However, ARA 290 is non-erythropoietic, meaning it doesn’t have the same effect on red blood cell production as erythropoietin. Instead, ARA 290 is designed to interact with the innate repair receptor (IRR), a receptor involved in tissue repair and protection.
